After a difficult five year's of negotiations and meetings the Club were finally pleased to announce in November 2005 they had secured a 25 year lease of their ground in Afoneitha. Since that time the Club has through fundraising and grants transformed the club both on and off the field.
After securing the lease in 2005 the club began to develop the ground and has to date secured the facility with palisade fencing, added hard standing to all four sides of the pitch, and a stand on one side which provides covered accommodation for up to 110 people which includes 65 fixed seats, built two brick dugout areas which can seat up to 7 people, opened a clubhouse which can cater for up to 100 people, added a building adjacent to the clubhouse which house's toilets for gents, women/disabled along with a new kitchen and first aid room/office, an outside seating area and finally upgraded the original Pavilion which now has 2 changing rooms which can accommodate up to 20 players, and LPG shower system and finally extra spectator toilets for both gents and women/disabled. Our old catering van that was originally used to provide teas and food for match days was relocated due to the extension on the clubhouse and we tried to try and turn it into a spectator/sponsor facility. Thankfully was achieved and the building will now be used for match sponsors but more importantly, provide any spectators with disabilities or additional needs some comfort while watching our fixtures. The building was officially opened by Councillor John Phillips on Sunday 27th January 2019 and named in honour of club stalwart and Chairman "Stuart Griffiths" who has been a huge part of Penycae Football Club since its inception in 1982. Also in May 2019, the club added an extra 50 seats in our stand to bring our seating capacity up to 115 seats as well as refurbishing the officials room with a new toilet and shower cubicle.
