Penycae Football Club are delighted to confirm the capture of three of the best local youngsters from the area!
Olly Johnson (centre) joins us from Connahs Quay Nomads where he played under First Team Coach Matt Griffiths in the academy system. Olly is a talented hard-working midfielder who has a big future in the game.
Harry Smith (left) and Dyfan Thomas (right) join the senior section after progressing through Penycae’s youth system. Both have played at the club since they were 6 years old and both have also represented Connahs Quay Nomads Academy.
First Team Coach, Matt Griffiths said "We are very pleased and excited to have these three on board with the club next season. All had offers from WPL clubs but for them to sign on with us shows what potential the club has and what we are building here. Having coached all three at Penycae and Connahs Quay Nomads I’m very excited to have the opportunity to work with them at senior level as they continue their development."
A special mention to our previous Under 16's Manager Dave Owens who helped bring this wonderful pool of talent through the Penycae youth system ready for them to step into the senior setup.
