This Saturday we will hopefully get back to some League action after another postponement last week when we entertain Llanuwchllyn FC at "The Riverside", kick off 2.30pm. Matchball has kindly been sponsored by Sonia Andrews, "Bandos" and "The Karl Thomas Memorial Hall" will be open serving Hot Food and Drinks.
Manager Ian Andrews gave his thoughts ahead of the fixture, "This week, we hopefully will be welcoming Llanuwchllyn to the riverside. It's been a stop start few months with so many games getting postponed due to the bad weather we have had. We played Llanuwchllyn 1st game of the season and were on the wrong side of a 5-1 loss. Mistakes cost us that day and we rightly got punished by a strong and physical team. Sion has got a good nucleus of local lads who want to play for him and Llanuwchllyn, and they have been in the top 5 for most of the season and had some good results. Our season hasn't been the best for a long time, it's been a struggle at times for us but the spirit and character the players are showing of late, shows us that they are prepared to fight for every point on offer. We have got a run of games coming up and have a points target to try and get and if we do then we will have closed the gap maybe moved out of the bottom 2. Only Adam Peters (suspended) and James Triggs (injured) are missing from the squad this week, Elliott Kavanagh will be looking to get his 1st goal after impressing since joining from Llay, Mike Parry will come back after missing the Llay game and Adam Mills, Callum Williams and Ryan Merrill come back into the squad. We will look to take the game to Llanuwchllyn and hopefully get the 3 points we need.
