Lex Glyndwr

After a great result against the league leaders the week before, we were looking to push on and gain a needed 3 points. With a depleted team and only two subs on the bench we knew it was going to be a tough match.
We started well and took the game to Lex. Within the first twenty minutes we had a few attempts on goal and pegged lex in their half. There was no break through from both sides and the game was 0-0.
We came out in the second half knowing that we would be under pressure and the message was to stick to the basics and remain strong. With sqeek injured Josh came into the game. However a break down the right hand side and a pass that split our defence allowed lex to put the ball plast the keeper to make it 1-0 on 60 mins. Our heads went down and we started to lose our shape and our discipline. However a poor decision from the referee denied us a blatant penalty when Austin Owen had broken free from their defender only for him to take Austin out. Shortly after Lex then scored a second goal. The scorer having to much time on the ball and allowing a clean shot at goal.Following the goal we looked like we were done. Heads down and unintrested. This was a different performance to the previous game and we need to understand how our performances change from week to week.
