Our 1st league game was one to forget quickly after a catalogue of errors and mistakes left Llanuwchllyn thinking it was Christmas with the goals we gifted them. After a bright start in the 1st 20 mins, where both sides had chances to open the scoring, we pressed the self destruction button and conceded 2 goals in 5 mins to go in 2-0 down at half time. After some harsh words and the importance of the next goal at half time discussed, we again never dealt with a long ball and conceded a needless free kick on the edge of our box. The free kick took 2 deflections and wrong footed Josh Williams in goal for 3-0. We pressed for a goal and were awarded a penalty for a foul on Austin Owen, Ben Jones stepped up and the keeper saved his weak penalty, this summed up our performance today. With 15 mins to go we conceded another goal with our players arguing with the referee allowing Llanuwchllyn to take a quick free kick and the striker having the simplest of tap ins for 4-0. With there next attack it was 5-0 after us allowing the cross into the box and a free shot into the net. With 2 minutes to go we managed a consolation goal from Ben Jones who finished after good work from Austin Owen. Ft 5-1. Overall a bad day at the office and one game to forget, a chance to put it right next week. I would like to thank our supporters for making the trip and hopefully a better performance and result next week.
