Corwen got themselves back in the driving seat for the title with a hard earned 3-0 success in a physical tussle with Penycae whose indiscipline in the eyes of referee Gareth Webb cost them dearly. They finished with 9 men with Mr Webb dismissing Penycae’s Calyn Spencer and Ruben Monteiro and brandishing 5 yellow cards. There was not a lot to choose between the two sides but the visitors were on the ropes after Sam Henry broke the deadlock on the hour mark tapping home a parried shot from the keeper. Dominic Doherty doubled their tally and Joe Williams sealed the win with the final goal at the death with a fine header from a Dale Davies cross.
