Penycae Football Club C.I.C.

The lads were looking forward to the Mold game after a good week of training. We had players missing due to work illness and social events but that aside we now have a very strong squad of players that are still learning about each other.

The game didn’t start ideally the way we wanted after a good warm up and team talk we conceded from the first corner within the first few minutes. But full credit to the players we battled hard to earn the right to play and then scored two great goals 1^st from Calyn Spencer and 2^nd from Jamie Monk. We finished the first half strongly and went in earning the lead the HT.

Yet again a slow start which we then conceded from a poor free kick rebound. The lads then picked up but another poor set piece lead to us going behind and having to pick ourselves up which we did. The team fought literally for every ball and deservedly got the equaliser with minutes remaining from Josh Millington.

We felt like that with more time we would have gone on to win the game but a point was needed at least due to others around us all winning.

We are slowly but surely getting there and with new signings coming in the lads are starting to play and battle the way we want them to.
