Llay Welfare were back to their best and sent Penycae crashing to a 3-0 defeat with manager Mike Gadie summing things up as follows “After coming to terms with Penycae’s fast start, we soon got to grips with the game and settled into the encounter well. We were causing constant threats down each flank and some great work from Liam Hughes saw his pin point cross tucked home by Ryan Godband. We quickly scored the second after Matt Worrall and Tom Wells linked up well and enabled man of the match Liam Hughes to tuck home an excellent finish. Our third and killer goal came at just the right time when the vision and audacity of Matt Worrall who saw Penycae keeper Tom Belton off his line and he scored with the cheekiest of lobs. It was great to get the clean sheet and an excellent performance from all involved.”
