Penycae chalked up a convincing 4-0 success against Castell Alun and as manager Ben Heath stated “The win was achieved with a patched up side with several first team regulars missing. On such a hot day, it was all about keeping possession and wearing our opponents out. Jack Abraham broke the deadlock and Connor Kendrick doubled our account. Defender Jack Edwards got in on the act to add a third goal but our final effort from Mamadie Sheriff who rounded his marker and then the keeper had a touch of class about it.”
