After a disappointing performance in our last game we faced a huge challenge travelling to runaway League leaders Chirk who were unbeaten in the League this season
As to be expected the hosts dominated the early exchanges and in the 37th minute were given a great opportunity to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty. Stuart Williams pulled off a great save to deny Adam Williams and Chirk were made to pay for it when Kieran Smith headed in from a corner in the 40th minute to put us 1-0 up.
It got even better for us in the 54th minute when Evan Woodhall cut in from the left beating three defenders before curling an unstoppable shot past Zac Bebbington in the Chirk goal to put us 2-0 up. Back came the hosts and in 58th minute Ryan Williams pulled a goal back and then in the 66th minute Dale Davies leveled. Despite lots of possession Chirk could not find a winner as we defended stubbornly and always looked a threat on the break. The game eventually ending all square and a well deserved point for us.
