After picking up four excellent points on our travels over the last two games we returned to action with a home fixture against local rivals and one of the title favourites Chirk AAA. The first half was a tight affair with both teams having opportunities to take the lead before Mathew Thomas opened the scoring for the visitors in the 25th minute, which remained the score till half time. Unfortunately early in the second half we conceded two goals from Jack Edwards and Alistair Gibson and then Mathew Thomas added his second and the fourth from the penalty spot in the 57th minute. We did manage to pull a goal back in the 78th minute through leading scorer Austin Owen who bagged his seventh of the season but two late goals from Lewis Clamp and Louie Middlehurst give the visitors a well deserved victory.
