After a run of disappointing results a home fixture against visitors Four Crosses became a must win. With the pitch being very heavy following weeks of poor weather playing conditions were difficult but despite that we made a good start and were unlucky not to take the lead when Kyle Davies was denied by George Lawrence who pulled off a great save to keep the score 0-0. Then in the 19th minute the visitors were awarded a penalty when Jac Scott was penalised for holding and up stepped Ben Simms to give Four Crosses the lead. Having taken the lead the visitors grew in confidence and were only denied a second by some poor finishing and by Ben Darlington who pulled off a couple of good saves to keep the score 1-0.
The second half saw a much improved performance from us and we finally got our reward for it when Mike Parry scored in the 73th minute to level the score. We finally took the lead in the 83rd minute when following a goalmouth scramble the ball took a deflection off Four Crosses defender Joseph Clarke to make it 2-1 and give us a much needed three points.
