Our first team progressed into the next round of the Welsh Cup with a hard fought victory over visitors Saltney Town. It was the visitors who started quickly and they took a well deserved lead in the 6th minute with a brilliant strike from Ste Chiocchi. We drew level in the 12th minute when Ben Buley struck a superb free kick from 25 yards out. Then just before half time Nicky Williams was brought down for a penalty which he converted to take us in at half time 2-1 up. The second half was end to end with both teams creating chances when in the 55th minute Ben Buley scored a second and our third with another superbly struck free kick. Back came the visitors and in the 59th minute Tommy Booth pulled a goal back to make it 3-2. Then in the 84th minute Saltney were reduced to 10 men when scorer Tommy Booth was sent off, despite opportunities for both teams there were no more goals and the game finished 3-2.
