Our First Team battled to a hard-fought 2–2 draw against Llangollen Town FC yesterday afternoon.
The visitors
were awarded a penalty in the 16th minute, but Ben Edwards produced a superb save. Unfortunately, from the resulting corner, we conceded an own goal.
We responded well and were rewarded in the 38th minute when we earned a penalty of our own, confidently converted by Tom Edwards to make it 1–1 at the break.
After the restart, we pushed forward and created several chances to take the lead, but it was Llangollen who edged ahead in the 71st minute through Louie Middlehurst.
Deep into injury time, we were awarded our second penalty of the match, and once again Tom Edwards kept his nerve to make it 2–2, ensuring a share of the points.
