Our First Team booked their place in the next round of the FAW Amateur Trophy yesterday afternoon with an impressive 5-1 victory over visitors Chirk AAA FC.
In a tight first half, we created the better opportunities, with Josh Millington and Tom Edwards both hitting the woodwork. We finally got the breakthrough in the 44th minute when Zac Davies converted to put us 1-0 ahead. However, in first-half injury time, Tom Freeman levelled for Chirk to send the teams into the break at 1-1.
The second half saw a brilliant spell from us as we scored four goals in just eight minutes. Zac Davies added two more to complete his hat-trick, Tom Edwards converted from the penalty spot, and an own goal completed the scoring.
A fantastic second-half performance sees us safely through to the next round of the FAW Amateur Trophy.
Man Of The Match
Congratulations to Zac Davies who was presented with his award by Hadyn Roberts and Ian Hunter on behalf of match sponsor Stephen Griffiths.
