Our First Team picked up a brilliant 2-1 victory against FC Queens Park in a tightly fought contest yesterday afternoon.
It was very much a game of two halves, with the visitors having the better of the opening 45 minutes. Queens Park were awarded a penalty in the 10th minute but failed to convert before finally breaking the deadlock in the 32nd minute through a fine strike from Matthew Worrall to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at the break.
A much-improved second-half performance saw us get back on level terms in the 58th minute, with Josh Mazzarella producing a fine finish to make it 1-1.The visitors were reduced to ten men shortly after when Michael Pritchard was shown a red card in the 60th minute. With the game heading into deep injury time, Evan Davies popped up with a dramatic winner from a corner to seal a fantastic 2-1 victory and secure all three points.
