Well not many notes where taken during the game due to the horrendous conditions.

Cefn have picked up of late and this was going to be a tough test, the little incentive for Cefn, as it is with most teams, is to take our unbeaten record.

First half we had plenty of possession and had a few chances cleared off the line but it was Cefn who went in 1-0 at the break after ex-penycae youth player Tom Miller scored at the back post from a corner.

Second half and we started strong and soon drew level as Tom Edwards cut in from the left and drilled the ball under the keeper. The game started to open up but the conditions made it difficult to play football and Cefn adapted better than us to the conditions. Never the less we took the lead when an inch perfect Dan McGinnis cross was met by Kian Davies to nod home. Sixty minutes gone and an exact replica effort was ruled out for Davies as he was judged to be offside.

The last 20 minutes Cefn upped the pressure and with five minutes to go one of my ex-youth players, Jack Edwards, rose in the box to header the equaliser. Both teams had chances cleared off the line, missed some good chances and battled through the weather so in all honestly a draw was the correct result.
