Our reserves picked up another excellent win at local rivals Rhos Aelwyd last Saturday. A poor start saw us fall behind in the 5th minute when Callum Smith lobbed our goalkeeper Keiran Mapp to put the hosts 1-0 up but we struck back almost immediately when Harry Edwards levelled. In the 25th minute Callum Smith scored again, this time from the penalty spot after a handball by Josh Mazzarella and then Alfie Owens added a third for the hosts to put them 3-1 up. Things got worse for us when Josh Mazzarella picked up a second yellow and was sent off in the 40th minute. Then just before half time Harry Edwards had a great chance to score when he was put through by Gary Evans but unfortunately he missed the target.
Despite being down to 10 men a much improved performance in the second half saw us pull a goal back in the 66th Minute through Tom Edwards who converted a penalty and then Gary Evans making his debut scored in the 78 minute to bring the scores level. Both teams had chances to take the lead before a fine run and cross from Kyle Davies resulted in Tom Edwards putting us in front for the first time. Then in injury time Gary Evans added a fifth to seal the win and all 3 points.
Congratulations to Kyle Davies who was voted our Man Of The Match by our supporters.
