Our Reserves completed their season with a point in a thrilling 4-4 draw away at Mold Alexandra yesterday afternoon.
We got off to the perfect start when Josh Mazzarella opened the scoring after just two minutes. Zac Barnes equalised in the 12th minute, before further goals from Charlie Rush and a second from Barnes gave the hosts a 3-1 lead going into the break.
Two goals in three minutes from Thomas Blaze and Josh Hughes brought us level at 3-3, but Charlie Rush grabbed his second of the game to restore Mold’s advantage. Josh Mazzarella then scored his second of the afternoon to make it 4-4 and cap off an entertaining contest.
There was still late drama as we missed a penalty in stoppage time that could have secured all three points, but we had to settle for a share of the spoils.
