A disappointing afternoon for our Reserves, who suffered a 5-2 league defeat against a very good Brickfield Rangers side.
There was very little to separate the teams in the first half. Austin Owen gave us the perfect start with a fine strike in the 8th minute to put us 1-0 ahead. The visitors responded through Kian Davies, who levelled the score at 1-1, before Josh Hughes restored our lead to make it 2-1. Brickfield hit back again in the 38th minute when Alex Palmer made it 2-2, sending the teams into the break all square.
Unfortunately, the start of the second half proved decisive, with the visitors scoring three goals in just seven minutes through Kian Davies (2) and Thomas Lawrence to turn the game around and make it 5-2.
A difficult second half for our Reserves, with Brickfield Rangers securing a well-deserved three points.
⭐ Congratulations to Mikey Bagnall who was chosen as man of the match by match by the management team.
